Emergency deputy, Jaume Lloret, announced last week that the towns of Pilar de Horadada (Vega Baja) and Santa Pola (Baix Vinalopó) will each have a detachment of firefighters from July 15 to September 15.
The units will consist of a corporal and three firefighters with a vehicle for 12 hours a day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will attend outbreaks of fire that take place in the areas around their respective municipalities.
The deputy stressed that they “are necessary during the summer of the increase in population and, as a consequence, a notable increase in traffic density.
