Almoradí has launched a pioneering project in the Vega Baja in which 51 youths have agreed to undertake training sessions that will allow them to become an active part in the day to day life of the elderly who are housed in the Casa Verde residence.
The teenagers have all signed up to take part in the scheme in which they will form part of the life of the elderly at the Casa Verde residence, hopefully enhancing the circumstances for those to whom they are assigned.
The program will begin with a programme of education for the youngsters which will develop into participatory sessions as the young people are gradually integrated into the day-to-day life of the elderly. Centre Director, Alberto Giménez, says that both he and the residents are delighted with the project, which they agree will be beneficial for the residents as well as the young people who are taking part.
