We had 34 players today in nice weather playing a Yellow Ball Competition. This is a format that can test friendships to the limit, depending on who loses the yellow ball. We had two guests today, Arthur Tear and Peter Twine.
The winning team was Carla Chaszczewski, Dave O’Connor, Michel Grin and Stella Fox with a great score of 162 points.
Second was the team of Shaun O’Gorman, Donna Green, Keith Price and Jim Hayward with a very good score of 146 points.
The rest of us looked on in envy as most of us lost the yellow ball sometime during the competition.
Nearest The Pin on Hole 5, second shot was Simon Fox with 3.2m and on Hole 16 was Malcolm Sharp with 3.5m
There were two twos today, Roger Brown and Dave O’Connor but as neither had put into the pot they went away empty handed, the winner with a card draw being Rob Westlands.
Balls in the Water today totalled 93, correctly guessed by John Evans.
There was one Matchplay today and Terry Langley beat Bill Pike one up.
