Galiana was thechosen course for this weeks Warblers event, the weather was perfect and the course in excellent condition. The spectacular panorama opf this course is somewhat overwhelmiong. He challenge today was a Texas Scramble and with the ever changing entry list we finished up with some three balls and some four balls, not ideal but unavoidable.
Taking the honours were, Trevor Manning, Roy Booth, David Baggaley and returning from his holidays, Glynn Braidley, the winning score being 62.4 off 8.6. In second place with a score of 64 were, Steve Smith, Sylvia Evans and Derek Gray and third place went to the team of David Knight, Steve Cliffe and Peter Gibson with 64.3, it will not have escaped your notice that each team had a member of the Galiana Sunday Group, a bit of local knowledge can go a long way.
Next week, Wednesday, 11th April, we are at Font del Llop Golf for a stableford competition. First tee time 10 a.m., please arrive by 09.15 a.m. for registration.
