A tourist has been arrested in Paguera, Mallorca, for drinking and driving in the nude. He is one of over 100 people this summer who have been reprimanded for having sex on the street or public nudity.
Fines of up to €600 have been given to 101 individuals displaying public nudity in the streets of Calvia – most of these fines for public indecency were issued in Magaluf.
Nearly 2.500 fines were issued by Calvia Police during the summer months. Some 280 were for drunken and disorderly behaviour and / or drug possession, 1.600 for illegal street sales, and 100 for unlicensed street masseurs. The rest were for bad behaviour or other misdemeanors such as vandalism.
According to local police, the council have generated more than € 16.000 in revenue from the fines.
