A photograph taken Pilar de la Horadada recently has gone viral on social networks. It shows a couple of young girls waiting in the ‘drive in’ queue at the town’s Burger King.
Nothing unusual in that you would have thought, apart from the fact that their mode of transport was not quite what you would expect. The pair were patiently waiting for service as they sat on the back of a horse.
Hardly the Wild West I would agree but one that caught the young Burger King attendant completely by surprise as she heard the rhythmic clatter of hooves approaching.
Such a scene could hardly go unnoticed, so the mandatory photo was taken and quickly uploaded since which time it has attracted over 100,000 likes.
The fast food outlet which is synonymous with the “American way of life,” was opened by the mayor of Pilar, Ignacio Ramos, in April. He was accompanied by the president of Burger King Spain, Gregorio Jiménez.
