The fourth edition of the “Tapas and Gin Tonic Competition” is to be held from October 28 to November 1 in Orihuela.
About forty establishments will be taking part in a number of different categories (traditional, gourmet, sweet and gin and tonic), so that, according to the Councillor for Tourism, Sofia Alvarez, “the competition will include original and delicious dishes that take customers closer to the local gastronomy .
She said that the price of each traditional dish will be 1 euro, while the gourmet and sweet tapas will cost 1.5 euros. Drinks will cost 1 euro although the price of gin and tonic may vary at each establishment.
Alvarez invited all oriolanos and the residents of the district to discover Orihuela through its gastronomy, while at the same time enjoying the many other cultural activities that a trip around the city will provide.
