Bill Nicholson (could it be top of the bill!)
So much has been said of Bill Nicholson, everyone knows him as the superstar that sings and acts with great presence. Of course, we have yet to see him in a high kicking dance routine, but you never know.
Before retiring to Spain, his principal roles have exceeded 150, so there can’t be many musicals that haven’t had the privilege of hearing Bills melodious voice.
The cast know him as a caring, helpful, understanding and modest man. We lesser mortals listen and try to learn from the master, his humility and humour always lighten up some of the more repetitive rehearsal sessions.
Playing scrooge in this Christmas production is nothing new, he was the principal in ‘A Christmas Carol’ in our 2016 show. By the way, Studio 32 began in 2013 and when Bill joined it proved to be a turning point which propelled the company onto greater heights.
No point in being modest about the the man we all respect and love. Thank you for everything now and in the future.
Jo, Stylish singer and dancer
Jo is modest, as is the description of her previous stage life in England. We know her as a dynamic singer and dancer that has all the fun of an energetic comedienne that lights up the room. And yes, we can see the hairdressing career helped, great hair Jo.
My first experience of being on stage was in gang show with the scouts when I was about 11 years old. After that I was only ever on a stage when I competed in, and won, 3 competitions during my time as a hairdresser.
I joined my first musical Theatre company because my daughter wanted to join when she was 16, and stayed for 9 years. Performed my first show (Honk) at The Old Rep in Birmingham!
I won best Panto (Cinderella) at the Noda awards in my last show in England.
When we decided to move to Spain permanently, I knew that I would really miss being part of a theatre group. We arrived here in January this year and in our first week here I was invited along to a rehearsal with S32. I’m now on my second show and loving it!
I’ve made some amazing new friends; I’ve learned to tap dance courtesy of our very talented choreographer Geri and joined CBS, all because of the decision I made to join S32!
