Convega has launched a new training program to improve digital skills among residents of Vega Baja through eight centers that are part of Spain’s National Digital Training Network.

  • More than 150 people will benefit, especially women, workers over 45, the unemployed, and those with low qualifications.
  • The initiative is funded by Spain’s Ministry of Education and the EU’s Next Generation funds.
  • Courses began in Rafal and will continue through June in Almoradí, Cox, San Fulgencio, Los Montesinos, Guardamar del Segura, Pilar de la Horadada, and San Isidro.

The program aims to:

  • Promote digital literacy and access to new technologies.
  • Improve employability and encourage entrepreneurship.

Training covers five key areas:

  1. Searching and managing information
  2. Communicating in digital environments
  3. Creating and editing digital content
  4. Online safety and cybersecurity
  5. Problem-solving with digital tools

The courses are hands-on, encouraging active participation, collaboration, and learner independence.

Convega’s director, Rosa Fernández, emphasized the organization’s commitment to digital inclusion, saying these programs enhance both job prospects and social opportunities across Vega Baja.
