Alcalá del Júcar is preparing to host one of its most anticipated events of the year: the Medieval Market, which will be held from 17 till 20 April, in the picturesque setting of the Explanada next to the Roman bridge and the water falls. It will be one more reason to visit this stunningly beautiful village at Easter, as you can then enjoy a unique experience that will take you back to medieval times, with an atmosphere full of magic, music, and tradition.

More than authentic artisans are expected, who will show and sell their work. There will be all kinds of products with one thing in common: they are all handmade by the artisan at the stall who can answer any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to see how the pieces are made, as many of them work next to their stall, guaranteeing an attractive atmosphere that will undoubtedly enrich the experience.

Activities Programme

The event will be packed with activities for the whole family, with a wide variety of shows and live demonstrations.

• Alan the juggler will delight us with his interpretations of characters such as a charlatan and a stilt walker, and will even perform an exciting fire show that will amaze both young and old with his skill and charisma.

• The minstrels of Sol Redó will enliven the market with their catchy melodies.

• The little ones will love the soap bubble shows that will leave everyone amazed.

• The dancing bear and his trainer will bring a wild and mysterious touch to the market.

• Twice daily  there will be craft demonstrations, allowing you to learn about various artisan techniques.

• Traditional board games to enjoy with family or friends in a fun and entertaining experience.
