A 53-year-old woman has been arrested in Alicante for allegedly throwing her two Yorkshire terriers out of her eighth-floor apartment window because she refused to take them for a walk, according to sources close to the case.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Sunday on Calle Sol Naciente in the Albufereta neighbourhood.
A National Police patrol responded after receiving a report and, upon arrival, gathered statements from multiple witnesses. The Local Police intervened to recover the bodies of the animals.
The suspect, who was also reported to have thrown several objects onto the street, admitted to the act when questioned by authorities. She was brought before a court on Monday morning following her arrest.
