Murcia, February 26, 2025 – The Murcia Civil Guard has solved a robbery at a gas station robbery on the RM-15 highway in the municipality of Mula. The operation led to the arrest of a resident of Pliego as the suspected perpetrator of the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation.
The investigation began immediately after authorities were informed of the incident, which took place at a petrol station on the RM-15 highway, in the direction of Caravaca de la Cruz.
According to the Civil Guard, an individual armed with a knife intimidated the only employee on duty at the time and stole the money from the cash register.
Investigators gathered footage from security cameras, which revealed that the suspect had entered the gas station’s commercial area after ensuring that there were no customers in the restrooms or service areas.
Taking advantage of the fact that only one employee was present, he distracted her by pretending to pay for a drink. Then, he pulled a knife from his jacket and threatened her into handing over the cash. Afterward, he fled on foot.
The search for the suspect was quickly successful when officers identified him as a resident of Pliego with a long criminal record. He has now been located and arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the robbery with violence and intimidation.
