The 14th edition of the Rafal en Corto National Short Film Festival is off to a strong start, receiving over 30 submissions within just 48 hours of opening the application period. Organized by the Rafal Film and Audiovisual Association, the festival has gained significant national recognition, with last year’s edition attracting over 500 entries.
The submission deadline is April 11, and participants can submit up to two short films, each with a maximum runtime of 15 minutes. A notable update for this edition is the increase in prize money, raising awards from €600 to €1,000. Categories include fiction, animation, regional, and children’s shorts.
The festival will take place from October 18 to 25, featuring a full program of activities aimed at promoting film culture in the region. Interested filmmakers can find the official rules and submit their works via www.rafalencorto.es or Festhome.com.
