Orihuela Local Police arrested a man early this Tuesday morning in Orihuela Costa on Calle Orquídeas, Flamenca Beach, on suspicion of robbery with force, following a 112 emergency call.
The incident was reported after the restaurant owner spotted the burglary in progress via security cameras.
Upon arrival, officers found a man and a woman acting suspiciously near the scene. They were carrying two laptops, a tablet, a mobile phone, a cash register drawer filled with coins, and a set of keys.
Shortly after, the restaurant owner arrived and confirmed that the stolen items belonged to his establishment.
A search of the premises revealed that one of the entrance locks had been forced and broken, with the door left open and the bar area ransacked, where the cash register was located. Additionally, police found a screwdriver and a wrench among the suspect’s belongings.
As a result, Orihuela Local Police arrested the couple for robbery with force and initiated legal proceedings regarding the incident.
