San Pedro del Pinatar is set to see the development of a new urban area, with work beginning on the Partial Plan for Sector 2RC. This project will cover an area of 265,000 square meters, with 15,000 square meters allocated for green spaces and 11,000 square meters dedicated to educational and sports facilities.
The new development will stretch from the A7 motorway exit, in the Los Tárragas neighborhood, to Avenida del Pilar, home to the Church of Santísima Trinidad and Las Esperanzas school. The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Pedro Javier Sánchez, recently visited the site, which has already been divided into plots, along with the Councillors for Urban Planning and Urban Maintenance, and representatives from the developers and landowners.
This urbanization project will feature new streets and roads, improving traffic flow in the area, as well as more than 15,000 square meters of green spaces, including a large wooded area with a calisthenics zone and a children’s playground along Avenida del Pilar.
Additionally, 11,000 square meters will be dedicated to educational and sports facilities, enhancing the community’s amenities. The mayor highlighted that this project will play a key role in the economic revitalization and modernization of San Pedro del Pinatar, bringing in significant investments and creating new jobs.
The first phase of the work has already begun, with land preparation and fencing underway. This development promises to improve public infrastructure, green spaces, and communal areas for the local residents.
