The Councilor for Sports, José Antonio Martínez, announced that sports clubs in Pilar will soon receive an advance of 80% of their allocated grants after completing the required documentation for the subsidy process. For the first time, these grants were distributed through a competitive application procedure, ensuring a fair and transparent process. The advance payments are intended to help clubs cover their invoices for 2024.

As part of the “Ordinary Development and Participation in Official Competitions” program, €43,007 has been disbursed as an advance to support local associations. Additionally, another €7,512.64 has been allocated to clubs under the “Organization of Events of Special Interest” program. These funds are designed to provide immediate financial relief to clubs, enabling them to sustain activities and operations while awaiting the remaining payments

The remaining 20% of the grants will be issued once the clubs present their invoices to the City Council. Altogether, a total of €63,300 from the 2024 municipal budget has been set aside to support sports clubs and associations that participated in this subsidy initiative.

Martínez also revealed that plans for the 2025 subsidies are already in motion. These grants will include a 20% increase in funding compared to 2024, reflecting the commitment outlined in the City Council’s general budget for the coming year.
