The Department of Commerce has announced a Christmas Shop Window Decorating Competition to encourage local businesses to showcase their creativity and attract customers during the festive season.
Councillor for Commerce, Vicente Pina, unveiled the contest on Friday morning, emphasizing the importance of visually appealing shop windows to draw in both locals and visitors.
The competition, which will run from December 15th to 31st, offers cash prizes of €1,500 for first place, €1,000 for second, and €500 for third.
Businesses will be judged on various criteria, including presentation, quality, design, creativity, originality, innovation, and the effective integration of products and recycled materials.
Councillor Pina urged all Orihuela businesses to participate and showcase their festive spirit. Businesses can register for the contest through the Orihuela Town Hall’s Electronic Headquarters.
