Ryanair has become the first airline to use Corvera terminal for its training flights. Murcia Region International Airport has introduced an incentive, offering up to a 50% reimbursement on landing fees to encourage airlines to use its facilities for crew training. Approved last October, this incentive is valid from 1 November 2024 until 31 October 2026.
Ryanair’s Boeing 737 has been performing landing, take-off, and approach manoeuvres at Corvera since last week, utilizing the airport’s facilities and airspace for up to six hours. These operations are carefully coordinated to ensure they do not disrupt regular airport activities, requiring close collaboration between the airline, control tower, and Operations Centre.
