ALDI will hire 80 new staff in the Valencia region, part of the more than 500 jobs the company expects to create in Spain before the end of the year. With these new additions, ALDI reaffirms its commitment to Valencian families by reinforcing its commitment to the local market and the generation of stable employment.

In total, ALDI expects to end the year with a workforce of around 7,800 employees in Spain. This significant volume of new staff is evidence of the strong growth the company is experiencing in the country, thanks to its ambitious expansion plan and the more than 7 million customers who already rely on ALDI to do their weekly shopping. The supermarket chain’s goal is to continue to reach as many Spanish households as possible by providing them with ways to save money and fill their shopping baskets with basic products of the highest quality at low prices.

ALDI grows in the Valencia region, a key region for the company

ALDI is consolidating its presence in the Valencia region, a strategic area for the company, with the opening of new shops at the end of 2024.The supermarket chain will open its second shop in the town of La Nucia (Alicante) on 6 November and another on 13 November in Torrevieja (Alicante). These openings are in addition to others the company has planned in the region before the end of the year.

ALDI has already opened a supermarket in Benissa (Alicante) in June and another two in Albal (Valencia) and in the city of Valencia, in the Jesús district, in September. Thanks to this expansion in the Valencia region, the company will now have a total of 77 shops in the region.

ALDI boosts its expansion plan in the last quarter of 2024

Beyond the Valencia region, ALDI is stepping up its growth in the rest of Spain and will open a total of 20 new shops in the last quarter of 2024.The supermarket chain is thus strengthening its presence in other regions such as Catalonia and Andalusia and is also strengthening its presence in northern Spain and the Canary Islands. With these openings and its discount model, ALDI remains firmly committed to bringing more and more Spanish families effective ways to save on their shopping baskets.

This October, the company opened its first supermarket in Ourense, expanding its presence in Galicia, and last week it also opened a new shop in the city of Barcelona. In addition to these new openings, the company has also strengthened its presence in the Madrid region and the Canary Islands. ALDI will also soon open new shops in Andalusia and in the northern region, where it will gain a foothold in the Basque Country and Castile and Leon.

Thus, the company’s expansion in the country is accompanied by both an increase in its logistics muscle and new staff.
