The Orihuela Chamber of Commerce hosted the fifth annual L’Exquisit Mediterrani Gastronomic Day, a showcase of traditional and innovative Mediterranean cuisine. Five renowned Orihuela chefs presented their unique creations, highlighting the region’s diverse culinary offerings.

The event featured a variety of dishes, from traditional rice dishes to innovative interpretations of classic recipes. The chefs used locally sourced ingredients to create a truly authentic and sustainable dining experience. Notable highlights included Juan Antonio Campoy’s fusion of artichoke and pig’s trotters, Francisco Javier Sala’s reimagined garlic prawn ravioli, and Agustín Martínez’s classic “three-handed” rice dish.

The L’Exquisit Mediterrani Gastronomic Day is a valuable platform for promoting Orihuela’s gastronomy and connecting local culinary professionals. The event received support from the Regional Ministry of Tourism and featured guest appearances from renowned chef María José San Román and the mayor of Orihuela, Pepe Vegara.
