La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre, managed by Nhood and owned by Ceetrus and CBRE Investment Management, has been awarded a prestigious 5-star rating from the international AIS accessibility certification. This recognition underscores the shopping center’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all individuals.
The AIS (Accessibility Indicator System) certification, developed by the Foundation for Accessibility and Social Responsibility (ARS), evaluates the accessibility of physical, functional, and virtual structures. The 5-star rating represents the highest level of excellence in accessibility, ensuring that the space is usable, safe, and inclusive for everyone, including people with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, and more.
La Zenia Boulevard’s 5-star rating highlights its numerous accessibility features, such as accessible outdoor and indoor routes, adapted toilets, a breastfeeding room, an accessible service point, reserved parking spaces, and accessible evacuation routes.
Esther Bienes Pinedo, Director of the ARS Foundation, commended Nhood for their dedication to creating accessible commercial spaces. She emphasized the importance of the AIS standard in ensuring that no citizen is excluded.
Cristina Ros, Director of La Zenia Boulevard, expressed her pride in achieving this certification. She stated that accessibility has been a top priority from the inception of the shopping center. The goal has always been to create a comfortable, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone.
This achievement is a testament to Nhood’s ongoing efforts to create diverse, safe, and comfortable spaces that cater to the needs of all individuals.
