Bordering the natural park housing the “pink lake” of Torrevieja, Los Montesinos already benefits from a natural environment that can benefit a healthy lifestyle, but the town hall would like to improve the health of those who live in the town and are asking for feedback from the residents.

The Department of Health of the Los Montesinos Town Council announced the launch of its new project, “Entornos de Vida”, or “Living Environments”, an initiative aimed at analysing the conditions of the local environment in terms of health, sustainability and well-being. This project aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the community, in order to implement improvements that increase the quality of life of the residents.

The project is presented as a key tool for the diagnosis and evaluation of the most important aspects that affect the daily life of citizens and seeks to detect which areas require improvement and which already represent spaces of well-being and health. The results will allow the focus group to design actions that promote healthier and more sustainable environments for all.

The Department of Health has stressed that citizen participation is essential for the success of the project. To this end, it has launched an online survey to collect the opinions and suggestions of residents. This form will allow first-hand knowledge of the real needs of the population and thus prioritise the actions to be taken.
