Due to the delay in the start-up of the third school, and for many other reasons that affect the coast, the opposition en bloc – PSOE, Ciudadanos and Cambiemos – has registered with the City Council the request for an extraordinary plenary only for matters relating to the Orihuela Costa, which is expected to be held in the first fortnight of October.

Of course, the PSOE and Ciudadanos had the opportunity to do this, but failed to do so, when they were in power 15 months ago but now they are in opposition, all of a sudden it seems like a good idea.

Considering the track record of the current government, quite whether the dedicated plenary will achieve anything is extremely doubtful, but some Orihuela Costa groups, nevertheless, are already proposing the muster of cars and coaches to take residents to Orihuela and thereby show their strength in numbers by packing the plenary hall.
