A successful trip to Villajoyosa on Sunday saw visitors Montesinos leave with the spoils following their single goal victory in the season opener, hopefully the first of many more to come.
In a very even affair, in which both sides were reduced to ten men, the only goal of the game came in the 37th minute from Anderson when his second effort found the back of the net after the keeper spilled the initial shot.
Monte were reduced to 10 men early in the second period but the home side was unable to capitalise on their numerical superiority. With Pablo working hard in the Monte goal and the defence working their socks off the home side was kept at bay.
Villajoyosa were also reduced to ten men in the final minutes of the game and with both sets of players on their knees the neither team was able to mount a meaningful attack during the seven minutes of added time.
Next up is C.D. Montesinos Vs Benferri C.F. this coming Saturday, 14th September, Kick-off is 7.00pm. (1900hrs)
