The first round of the Valencian Cup ended in a comfortable win for “Monte”, in a game played at San Fulgencio.
Despite the result, this was not as easy as the final score-line suggests, in fact the first half was a very disjointed performance by our lads, with lots of poor passing and our defence looking somewhat out of sorts
Despite the first-half performance, we still went in 0-2 up with goals coming from Diego and Anderson.

The second half was better, although we still didn’t look our best. But further goals from Ivo, Damian and Enrique (all second half substitutes), made the score-line look very one sided, something that was not reflected on the field.
A good start to what we hope can be a long cup run and a morale booster for our tough away game next weekend, at Villajoyosa.
We played with our new kit for the first time as well as all the players in their squad numbers.
