The Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre, managed by Nhood, has presented its program of activities for the month of May, where the family, mothers in particular, and the care of the planet will be the main themes of the activities.
For Mother’s Day, on Saturday, May 6, (Mother´s Day is the Sunday, but the shops are closed on that day, although the restaurants at Zenia Boulevard will be open as usual) the shopping centre will organise the “Happy Mother’s Day”, a full day of activities especially aimed at mothers.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Spa La Laguna hotel team will offer a free relaxing massage to all mothers who come to their space, and they can also refresh themselves with the ice cream with which the shopping centre will provide from 12 noon.
The little ones can make their own bracelets as a gift to their mothers in the children’s creative workshop from 5 p.m. to 8. The day will have its finishing touch with the performance at 7 pm of Michael Habanna, the man of a thousand voices, who will offer a show with versions of songs by the best singers of all time.
In the build up to Mother´s Day, from May 2 to 6, all mothers who go to the customer information point and present their purchase ticket, with a value equal to or greater than 20 euro, will be entered into a prize draw for a Beauty Day, which includes a hairdressing and makeup session and the style advice of a personal shopper.
A May of environmental care in Zenia Boulevard
Another mother that will receive closer attention throughout the month of May is Mother Earth, with activities throughout the month aimed at raising awareness of sustainability and the environment.
On May 13, Zenia Boulevard will host a day with educational activities for the little ones in which they can learn more about the importance of caring for the planet. In the morning, from 11 a.m., the agriculture workshop Plántate will be held, an action to support sustainable agriculture and responsible consumption in which children will learn to grow their own plants and food.
In the afternoon, from 4 to 7 p.m., they will enjoy a creative workshop to raise awareness about responsible water consumption, as well as storytelling with the mascots of the shopping centre, Zimbo and Peludo.
From May 25 to 27 there will be a new edition of Re-Nueva Market, the circular fashion project developed in collaboration with Help at Home. 3 days in which the organisation will open in Zenia Boulevard a pop-up store with which to give a second life to clothing, raising funds to help families with difficulties in the community.
On May 27 and in collaboration with IKEA, Zenia Boulevard will promote the re-use of furniture. With “Give a second life to your IKEA furniture”, visitors to the centre who deliver Ikea furniture back to the store that they no longer use in their homes, will receive up to 50% of the original value, while contributing to give them a second life and avoid the generation of waste.
