The mayor of Pilar de la Horadada, José María Pérez Sánchez, and the Councillor for Education, Pedro Miguel Moya Albaladejo, visited the new Secondary Education Institute that is being built in Torre de la Horadada.
The construction, fully financed by the Generalitat Valenciana within the Edificant Plan, will provide 560 school places, “thus solving the problem of the lack of space in the current Thiar institute”, said Councillor Moya.
The new school, built by the company Joca Ingeniería y Construcciones, SA, at a cost of 7,717,189.60 euros is sited on a plot of 15,000 square metres. It has four classrooms for further education along with Science and Technology classrooms, various workshops, a cafeteria, a gym, two sports courts, a playground, parts of which are covered, a school garden, and a parking area.
It is estimated that the work will be finished by the end of March with the centre opening at the start of the next academic year 2022-2023.
