CD Murada will kick off their 2019-20 season in the Preferente Regional under new coach Paco Onrubia – who has bolstered the squad during the summer with new signings.
Paco, who has replaced Bigui, was appointed to take the reins following a board meeting at the club in May.
Former head coach at both Orihuela CF and Novelda, Paco had a short spell at Eldense last season.
Paco has brought on board striker Carles Ruzafa, formerly at Hercules B, Albacete B, Villajoysa, Novelda, Jumilla and Crevillente, in a move from Callosa.
Jordi Vega, formerly at Benferri, Redovan, Cox, Almoradi and Cieza; and ex-Real Murcia B player Javi Parralo, have also arrived at the club.
CD Murada’s promotion to the Preferente Regional for the forthcoming 2019-20 campaign was celebrated at an official reception at the Ayuntamiento de Orihuela, led by Mayor Emilio Bascunana and Councillors Sabina Goretti Galindo and Victor Valverde.
“Congratulations go to the management and players at CD Murada for the excellent 2018-19 season, in gaining promotion to the Preferente,” said Mayor Bascunana.
Management and players signed the ‘Book of Honour of Orihuela’ following their achievement, having defeated La Eliana in the play-offs, making club history in reaching the Preferente Regional.
