The 100 party goers enjoyed a Spanish themed evening at the Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa. Top quality entertainment with a Flamenco Show featuring Jose Manual and dancing to the sound of Inti Cordosa .
An excellent Mediterranean menu to excite and delight was prepared by Executive Chef Roman Martin and Alistair Impey. Events Manager, Karina Rosa and her Team were totally committed to creating an evening to be enjoyed by the Ladies and contribute much needed money to the Bomberos.
With the perfect temperature for a pre dinner Cava Reception around the pool the assembled party enjoyed traditional Spanish music performed by Groupo Mariachi.
The evening was organised by the Freemasons of Logia Deportiva 83 as one of a series of events to celebrate their achievements prior to a planned amalgamation with Arenal Lodge No 65.
The highlight of the evening was to present a 1,300 euro cheque to ISVH Bomberos Commandant Alan Lawton by Glyn Walters, current Master of Deportiva lodge, and Darrel Clayton the Charity Steward.
Glyn said “The nominated charity, ISVH Bomberos Voluntarios, was easy to select when so many families in the Javea area have been close to, or witnessed, the effects of the high temperatures and outbreaks of fire near their homes and have welcomed the support of the Bomberos”
The ISVH Bomberos Voluntarios were delighted to receive the donation and they are very thankful for the local support being offered by all. Their main source of income is from the residents committee and a small grant from the Town Hall, but they also rely on donations from other sources. Earlier this year, 1200 euros was donated and this money was used along with other donations to purchase a new pump for the fire engine.
The donation will be used to repair and maintain the vital equipment for the Bomberos (pumps hoses breathing apparatus, gloves, masks, uniforms etc).
