El Gordo de la Primitiva lottery is drawn once a week on Sunday evening at around 21:30 CET.

There are 5 main balls numbered from 1 to 54 and a key ball (“número clave”) numbered from 0 to 9.

In order to win the El Gordo de la Primitiva jackpot prize, a player must match the 5 main balls and the key ball with the numbers drawn.

A resident of Los Alcazares has won a fifth prize in the 2019 El Gordo Christmas Lottery – one of a bumper winning tickets in Murcia.

The unnamed Los Alcazares resident’s number 60293 was purchased at the Rio Nalón Lottery shop, in Calle Los Alcázares.

The shop sold one of the eight fifth prizes in the National Christmas lottery 2019 El Gordo draw, which represents a total of 6,000 euros, for every tenth sold.

The winning number follows ticket sales by José Luis Carrasco, who runs the Rio Nalon shop with Monica Roman, having sold a fourth prize winning ticket in 2015 and in 2013 sold a fifth prize winning ticket.

The Torres de Cotillas and Beniaján, Murcia, have winning El Gordo tickets. Third prize winning tickets were bought in El Perolo de San Pedro and at Dos Mares shopping centre in San Javier.

Two fourth prizes were sold in Ronda de Garay de Murcia, and in La Manga.

Five of the eight fifth prizes were bought in the region. Winning number 74770 in Lorca, San Pedro and Alhama de Murcia; 66212 in Lorca and Totana; 06293 in Lorca, Los Alcázares, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Ulea; 69283 in Molina de Segura and 81610 in San Pedro and Águilas.

It was raining once again across the Vega Baja yesterday but this time the recipients were a little more welcoming as they were showered with euros in the region’s biggest Christmas El Gordo win for some years.

Lucky ticket holders in Callosa de Segura, Orihuela and Torrevieja, of which there were 30 in all, snapped up a second prize amounting to 125,000 euros each, with ticket number 04535 although many are still to be claimed.

One of Callosa’s lucky winners, pensioner Jose Ballester, a resident of la calle Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados, told the local press “I have six children, many of whom are without work so it is very welcome for the whole family”.

The winning ticket of 30 decimos was sold at a lottery outlet in Callosa so many of the winners are local people.

Carrefour in Torrevieja was another point of sale that provided winners, in this case selling ten tickets to winners amounting to 1.2 million euros. There is also one lucky ticket holder who purchased his ticket from a tobacconist in Las Monserratinas, Orihuela City, where yet another 125,000 prize has yet to be claimed.

Sandra Moreno, manager of the tobacconist, inherited the business from her father seven years ago, She said that this is the first time that she has sold a winning ticket for the National Lottery.

There were also winners of lesser prizes in Los Montesinos, Bigastro and Catral where ticket holders have scooped up prized of between 6,000 and 23,000 euros.
