Members of Torrevieja U3A enjoyed an insightful and moving visit to the Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre on April 21, gaining first-hand appreciation of the dedication required to care for rescued animals.

During the visit, the group witnessed the tireless efforts of staff and volunteers who work daily to provide a safe and supportive environment for a wide range of animals—not only horses, but also other rescued species housed at the centre. Many of the animals have been saved from difficult circumstances, including injury, neglect and abuse, and now rely on the ongoing care provided at the facility.

The visit highlighted the scale of commitment needed to rehabilitate and maintain the wellbeing of the animals, with members noting the passion and determination shown by those running the centre. Without such intervention, many of the animals would not have survived.

Participants described the experience as both enlightening and worthwhile, offering a deeper understanding of animal welfare and the importance of rescue work within the local community.
