Schooner Pascual Flores Concludes Its Grand European Tour and Returns to Torrevieja. The ship will be open for public visits at Marina Salinas
The historic schooner Pascual Flores is back in Torrevieja, and once again open for public visits at Marina Salinas
The journey to it-s home port marks the end of the vessel’s grand European tour, which throughout 2025 has taken it to 21 ports across France, the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain. The tour included participation in major international maritime events such as Sail Amsterdam 2025 and the prestigious Tall Ship Race 2025, where Pascual Flores achieved first place in its category.
Over the past year, the ship has sailed thousands of nautical miles, opening its decks to the public in every European port it visited. More than 35,000 visitors have stepped aboard to discover the maritime heritage of Torrevieja, the craftsmanship behind its shipbuilding traditions, and the story of this remarkable vessel—a living symbol of the Mediterranean’s last great sailing ships.
Built in 1917 in Torrevieja (Alicante) for the region’s thriving salt trade with the Mediterranean and Africa, the Pascual Flores today continues to sail the seas as a floating ambassador of Torrevieja’s history and culture, thanks to the collaboration between the Torrevieja City Council and the Nao Victoria Foundation.
During November, December, and the entire Christmas season, the schooner will be open to the public from Thursday to Sunday, offering guided tours for schools and community groups, along with a special program of activities organized in partnership with the Torrevieja City Council.
