Four break-ins in one night – thief caught red-handed after residents raise the alarm

Police in Almoradí have arrested a 28-year-old man accused of a string of violent break-ins at homes and cars, including four robberies in a single night.

The drama unfolded in the early hours of 22 October, when residents of a local housing estate raised the alarm after spotting an intruder inside their home. Officers from the Guardia Civil and Local Police rushed to the scene, catching the suspect just streets away.

Investigators later linked him to five robberies in total — three from vehicles and two from houses — all committed in the same residential area.

A stash of stolen tools and other property has since been recovered and returned to their rightful owners, with police still checking for more victims.

The suspect has appeared before the Orihuela Court of Instruction No. 1, which released him under strict conditions while investigations continue.
