The Torrevieja City Council has unveiled its September–December 2025 cultural program, promising an exciting, diverse lineup of over 50 events to end the year on a high note. Presented by Antonio Quesada, Councillor for Culture, and cultural coordinator Manuel Esteban Moreno, the schedule includes theatre, concerts, dance, comedy, family shows, exhibitions, and more, with performances from major national artists as well as local talent.
September Highlights
Although the official season begins in September, the program kicks off early on August 23 with “Estado de Alarma”, a comedy starring Lara Dibildos, about two strangers trapped together during the early days of the pandemic. September continues with the 10th Torrevieja Audiovisual Film Festival, the first performance of the “Flamenco y Sal” series, and the debut of “Inmaduros” starring Carlos Sobera, a comedy about two men in their fifties reevaluating their relationships.
Other September highlights include the launch of the outdoor theatre series “Salpa Fuera”, a 1950s-style musical version of Cinderella, and the comedy show “Bis a Bis” by Los Morancos. The month concludes with the 37th International Choral Meeting “Ciudad de Torrevieja”, organized by the Coral Francisco Vallejos.
October Highlights
October opens with a Beatles tribute concert by The Flaming Shakers, followed by stand-up comedian Juan Amodeo and the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra performing works by Sibelius and Tchaikovsky. The renowned Nacho Duato Dance Company and Borja Niso’s theatrical music experience “Ludovico Musical Experience” will also be featured.
The Jazz Fridays at the Palace series brings top national and international jazz artists to town. The Union Musical Torrevejense (UMT) will present “Autumn Winds”, and fans of Joaquín Sabina can enjoy the tribute concert “500 Noches”. October also includes the 12th Ricardo Lafuente International Singing Competition, a family-friendly version of The Princess and the Pea, another Flamenco y Sal performance, and the play “Don Juan Tenorio” by the local theatre school.
November Highlights
November begins with “He’s Back”, a spectacular Michael Jackson tribute, followed by comedian David Navarro’s stand-up show. Young musicians will showcase their skills at the 2nd Young Talent Music Competition, and world-famous violinist Ara Malikian returns with his genre-defying show “Intruso”.
Children can enjoy “La Isla de Maui”, inspired by the film Moana, while the coronation of the Reina de La Sal 2025-2026 adds a festive local touch. The month ends with the Royal Concert Orchestra’s DJ Symphonic, blending orchestral music with electronic dance, plus two concerts celebrating Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music.
December Highlights
December begins with “Lily: A Tale of Torrevieja” and “Symphonic Pop Feeling” by Sette Voci and the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra. Comedian Miguel Lago brings his stand-up routine, and magician Jorge Luengo presents “Ensueños”, a show of illusions and mentalism.
The UMT’s “Symphonic Gospel” concert features Barcelona Messengers and Ramón Escalé, followed by “Remátame Otra Vez”, a mystery comedy starring Belinda Washington. The season closes with the ballet “Swan Lake”, offering a classical performance suitable for all ages.
Art Exhibitions
Seven exhibitions will be held this season, showcasing impressionism, hyperrealism, and everyday scenes by artists like Luis Cajal, Jesús Inglés, Ekhaterina Romahskina, and Fran Berbel. October also features the 27th Rapid Painting Competition.
