The Pilar de la Horadada City Council has completed the implementation of the “Data Processing Centre, High Availability, and Cloud Services” project, funded through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The contract, valued at €154,000, was awarded to the company Lynx View SL.
The project involved a full upgrade of the existing municipal Data Processing Centre (DPC). It now includes three new servers, a storage array, and a NAS unit dedicated to backups.
The replaced equipment has been repurposed to establish a secondary, backup DPC, ensuring the municipality now operates two data centres to secure both current and future systems and data.
Both centres are housed in municipal facilities, connected via existing data networks, and run on cutting-edge virtualized systems with modern backup and replication tools.
Nieves Moreno, Councillor for Modernization, stated that this initiative reflects “a clear commitment by the Pilar de la Horadada City Council to adopt and update technological tools in line with current needs and demands.”
