Spain National Police have arrested an Iranian fugitive at Alicante-Elche airport, wanted by the authorities of his country accused of crimes of bribery and fraud.
The Policia arrived at Miguel Hernández Airport Border Post and verified a person was travelling on a flight from the UK whose profile was registered on international search data.
An arrest order was made with an extradition order. Police used identification filters, undertaken daily on passengers arriving at Alicante-Elche airport.
The arrest has been reported to the Central Court of Instruction of the National High Court, in charge of carrying out procedures for subsequent extradition.
