Santa Pola town hall presented 3 new vehicles for the Local Police this week. 1 Dacia and 2 Renault Scenics, which have been purchased with a total budget of 75,400 euro.

These cars are added to the 10 units that the Local Police had until now, so there are 13 patrol cars and one for traffic control, in addition to the 8 existing bikes.

The Mayor of Santa Pola, Loreto Serrano, has indicated that “it was part of our commitment to continue improving our Local Police, which is doing an exceptional job and, above all, to further strengthen security in Santa Pola. The City Council continues to work in this direction and during this year 2022 we will add 3 new vehicles for the Local Police since we have reserved an additional 95,000 euro for this objective in the municipal budgets”.

The Councillor for Citizen Security and Police, Ana Blasco, points out that “we are trying to provide our Police with the best equipment, for this reason we will also put out to tender shortly for the purchase of bulletproof vests for officers for 45,000 euro. In addition, we must add the purchase of a mobile radar that we will incorporate this year”.
