A full complement of anglers competed in the June competition held on Wednesday 12th.

A few regulars were missing due to a clash of dates, however it’s pleasing that we have enough interested to fill any gaps.

Nathan Broome, Stoke City under 18 and England under 17 International goalkeeper caught this fine carp at the El Paraiso Fishing venue when visiting his Gran and Grandad recently. This was one that Nathan didn't mind lifting out the net for a photograph.

Yours truly started like a house on fire with 2 nice carp landed in the first 12 minutes, my thoughts were good start….empty the lake in the first 3 hour session however, just as quick as they were there they soon deserted me with only 3 more netted all day.

The results were

1st….Russell on Peg 1 with 24kgs. 2nd….Tony on Peg 18 with 20.39kgs. 3rd….Neil on Peg 8 with 18.50kgs.

Russell and Tony were again drawn together in the pairs and were runaway winners with 44.39kgs.

The list is available  for the July competition which is on the Wednesday 10th.

The format is peg draw at 9, fishing 10 till 1, half hour lunch break, then fishing 1.30 till 4.30, the cost is 10€ which includes snack lunch.

Tight lines, Jackie Breslin
