Guardia Civil officers from Pilar de la Horadada have arrested three people, two men (34 and 37 years) and a woman (37 years), all of Spanish nationality, for two robberies with violence and intimidation committed in Orihuela Costa. The woman has been imprisoned after going to court, while the two men have been released on bail. The arrests took place in the town of Las Torres de Cotillas, Murcia.

Agents were investigating a robbery with violence and intimidation committed in Orihuela Costa in which the victim, a 34-year-old Spaniard, was stabbed in his side. The incident took place about a month ago, when the victim met up with a woman, following their friendship through a well-known social network. This woman then met two more men who carried out the robbery before leaving the victim.

It was subsequently discovered that he was not the only victim of the gang. The investigators were also able to find evidence which placed the group at the scene of another robbery carried out with violence and intimidation, committed at a house in Orihuela Costa. The criminals threatened the dweller, a 21-year-old Spaniard, who was beaten up before handing over a laptop, a video game console and cash.

The perpetrators were identified and arrested at their own house in Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia). The detainees have since been charged with two crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation and the woman, in addition, is charged with a crime against road safety because, when she was arrested, she was driving a vehicle without a license which she had previously lost due to an accumulation of penalty points.

All three have now appeared before the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Orihuela following which the woman was detained, while the two men have been provisionally released on charges awaiting trial, after being presented to the Molina court of Segura, (Murcia).
