If you were looking out to sea last Monday or Tuesday you might have found yourself casting an envious eye over the mega yacht ‘A’ owned by Russian Billionaire, industrialist, Andrey Melnichenko, as it meandered along the coast toward Valencia where it is currently harboured.

With three swimming pools, including one with a glass floor, luxurious cabins and an unconventional design the 390ft Motor Yacht is one of the 25 largest super yachts in the world costing in the region of €250 million when it was built in 2008 by Philippe Starck.

But what makes this yacht so special are not the luxurious fittings that can be found onboard, but the striking submarine-inspired design, said to have been inspired by the “Nautilus” Captain Nemo.

Although I will admit to being slightly envious over the well-appointed 230 sq mtr master stateroom in which the bed rotates 360 degrees. Thus, the millionaire and his wife Aleksandra can choose, without getting out of bed, the view that they want to see at all times through the windows.
