The Federación de Asociaciones de Orihuela Costa is expressing concerns that tickets are still being sold for this year´s Campoamor Music Festival, scheduled for August 3, despite the licence application for the event being denied by Orihuela Town Hall.

The FAOC claim to have seen the denial first hand and the fact that the decision has been communicated to the organisers, and yet there still seems to be a case of denial and ignorance on the part of those selling tickets.

The annual gathering has always faced opposition from neighbours in the area, not least because of the huge disturbance and clean-up bill, but recent years has seen attempts to legalise the event, however not yet with any success, and despite the denial again this year it is still likely that thousands of young people will descend on the area and leave a wave of disturbance and destruction in the wake.
